  • Jets on Apron in shannon

was coming through shannon last thursday and i saw 2 jets sitting on the apron, one in grey and the other in camo, looked like they might have been A4 skyhawks.

Did anybody else see these, or know why they're here?

"Let us be clear about three facts. First, all battles and all wars are won in the end by the infantryman. Secondly, the infantryman always bears the brunt. His casualties are heavier, he suffers greater extremes of discomfort and fatigue than the other arms. Thirdly, the art of the infantryman is less stereotyped and far harder to acquire in modern war than that of any other arm." ------- Field Marshall Wavell, April 1945.

They are BAE Systems A4 Skyhawks that were stopping over before going to Germany to do Target work. I snapped them!!

These 2 USAF ANG C-130's came in as i was there on Friday last week.

              Regards,
