  • Greatest Airman Ever???

looking at the greatest soldier thread i think that the aircorps lads might want there own,

anywhoo, i was gonna put this man in said thread but i realised that he probably deserves a bit more than that,

sure he didnt kill millions of people and fight vietnam all by himself etc etc etc,

but his contribution to aviation is something special,

flown 487 different types of plan,

    2407 carrier landings etc etc

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Brown_(pilot)
    But there's no danger
    It's a professional career
    Though it could be arranged
With just a word in Mr. Churchill's ear
If you're out of luck you're out of work
We could send you to johannesburg.

          I'd go with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paddy_Finucane
Youngest Wing Commander in the RAF and its 2nd highest ace not bad considering he died in 1942
Lifes a bitch, so be her pimp!

                  Hi there,
Military aces: Well, there's bloody thousands of them so it's hard to pick out people who contributed more to aviation than just killing other pilots, so I'll start with Chuck Yeager and his colleagues from the 50s, whose contribution to flight-testing was simply astonishing, considering the fatality rate at the time. "Winkle" Brown also stands up there, as one who flew in both peace and war.
                  regards

I would have agreed with all in the past but arecent event just reinforced what a good airman should be

This guy, Chellsey Sullenberger does it for me. He had only to carry it once but he did it when it mattered most and to me thats what counts

Covid 19 is not over ....it's still very real..Hand Hygiene, Social Distancing and Masks.. keep safe
