The EC135 and AW139 helicopters are due to be replaced before 2030.
Primary radar for the Air Corps should be procured immediately and is a top priority.
A successor long-range aircraft for the Gulfstream IV is needed.
Join the Strategic Airlift Capability programme.
Two additional AW139 helicopters should be procured.
Replace AW139's with eight super‐medium helicopters.
C‐UAS system for the Air Corps.
Under LOA3
The Air Corps to get a squadron of jet combat aircraft.
Two or three troop carrier type aircraft.
Tactical troop transport helicopters for overseas, enough to move a platoon and for CSAR.
Dedicated combat helicopters to support the ARW.
Super medium helicopters, represented in operational service by the H175 and the AW189, have proven their worth since their inception three years ago, according to a Waypoint Leasing study.
Helicopter manufacturers created the super medium category to bridge a perceived gap, in a booming offshore oil-and-gas market, between 12-seaters and heavy helicopters seating up to 19 on long distances.
We got medium heli, they ended up smaller than we expected. We looked for Medium Lift, and almost got S92/Super Puma/EHI01.
I guess the NH90 is a super medium... or perhaps the Leonardo AW149
Or maybe even an S70. (Say it quietly).
For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.
The State already operates the S-92, by default, so either get more of them for Army lift or buy the rest of the S-70 for Army and AC lift. The top third of an S-92 is an S-70 anyway.

We looked for medium initally, which in line with the PWC report would have left us with a large fleet of small light heli (prob would have been useful for ATCP/Air Ambo, Domestic Counter terrorism support/recce at home and overseas etc)and a smaller fleet of medium, which probably would have suited us.
We ended up with a tiny fleet of light heli (two which was never going to be enough for anything bar training) and a utility helicopter that was sold as alot of things even medium but was actually what industry called "super medium"? but in reality is probably a light heli, again not in enough numbers to cover all roles.
If you actually do know the difference between medium and super-medium why would you ask the question?
"Super-medium" is whatever the manufacturers want it to mean, to justify calling an AW 139 a military helicopter. It's the physical capacity inside the hull that matters.
Journal has an article up claiming Government documents suggest talks have been underway about 2 second hand CASA 295s for Troop Transport and 2 new 139s?
