An entire hangar on the edge of the ramp in an active military airfield is no place for an aircraft museum.
Am I wrong in thinking this is the last of the single bay hangars? If so, good riddance. If we are refusing aircraft because of a shortage of hangarage, the Museum needs to go elsewhere. Perhaps a new build within the perimeter, with public access that does not involve entering the secure military airbase?
For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

A dedicated museum with seperate public access would be ideal. We are the only european country without a dedicated aviation museum. I have seen official sketches of what a museum within Casement would look like - I believe the local county council had ideas for a jointly-operated / funded museum some years ago
There is the flying boat Museum in Foynes.
For a small country we do have quite a notable place in the history of flight. Much of which is centred around Baldonnel.

Apparently some aircrafts will be leaving, but the hanger needs repaIrs.

Illegitimi non carborundum
They were supposed to build a big Museum in the field across the road, opposite the Aptce Hostel and everything would be transferred and the whole place would be a joint ownership kind of operation, with donation from industry and all that. I heard that it was knocked on the head a couple of years ago because of rows over ownership of land and that the Museum was told to prepare to evacuate itself, as the hangar is ancient, anyway. It would be a crying shame if the collection is split up as some of the artifacts are quite unique.

The 'Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum' is indeed a fine facility. I visited in 1998 (and bought a booklet about the Air Corps in their shop...which sparked my interest in the Corps... 'The Air Corps Today' by Capt Kevin Byrne).
I visited again this summer. The new extension and the replica flying boat is very impressive. However, its not a broad aviation museum in the normal sense.

Its such a pity the new-build / joint ownership museum never got going!
....I am informed that the current museum facility will be repurposed in the coming months to house the expanding Air Corps fleet. It is intended that some of the museum exhibits will be stored in a temporary facility on the base, while others will be loaned out to the Shannon Aviation Museum; which already houses a display of material provided by the Air Corps......
