Hi Cal Tanker
The single seaters were all Seafire LF IIIs, denavalised, and the Vampires(6) were all 2-seaters. some, if not all, of the two-seat Spitfires had been rebuilt from single-seat Mk.IXs and had had combat careers. One of them,as ML407, claimed to have destroyed the first German air-to-air loss over the D-Day beaches.
