  • Irish Air Corps Police

    Do the Irish Air Corps have a Police section, or does the Military Police Corps perform that role within Baldonnel ?

    Are ground trades (Chefs, drivers etc) recruited from the Army ? If so, do they transfer out of the Army and into the Air Corps ?

    Thanks.

      The AC MP section has only come into being in the last couple of years, up untill then the role was carryed out by Army PAs.

        Thank You.

        Do they have to be of a certain rank and are their powers limited to Baldonnel, or do they have jurisdiction across the Defence Forces ?

        Does anything along the lines of the RAF Regiment exist in the Air Corps ?

                        Same air Corps peaked cap, with a red band.

                        Catch-22 says they have a right to do anything we can't stop them from doing.

                              Cannon to right of them,
                              Cannon to left of them,
                              Cannon in front of them
                              Volley'd and thunder'd;
                              Storm'd at with shot and shell,
                              Boldly they rode and well,
                              Into the jaws of Death,
                              Into the mouth of Hell
                              Rode the six hundred.
