  • Military Police SIB (Investigation Section)

    Do the Military Police in the Irish Army have a Special Investigations Branch (ie Detectives) ? And does someone caught thieving (for example) get prosecuted in both the Civil and Military Courts ?

        when the SIB get there grubby hands on you

        you will confess anyway
        Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
        Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
        The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere***
        The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
        The best lack all conviction, while the worst
        Are full of passionate intensity.

            I've met them too and it was not a pleasant experience. One 'gentleman', a S/Sgt. has to be one of the most treacherous c***s I have ever met in my life.

            They do tend to have some lovely ladies in their ranks though

                Lets face the truth about Military Police

                who joins the Army to be a Police man

                most of them are those who realised that they couldnt hack it as real soldiers

                so they took the cushy option

                lads if you want to be Police men Join the Gardai

                    One of my old Sergeants was ex RMP. The boys called him 'Trench Dodger'. Used to fracture every time it was mentioned.

                            Murf, I have never had dealings with SIB, nor have I ever had reasons for dealing with SIB. My post was intended to be humourous.
