Army Tent Needed

Hiya,

Im organizing a very large surfing competition, see poster for more info, We need a marquee but there isnt alot of funds and the cheapest qoute we could get on one was €1,200.

Someone suggested we should contact the Army/Reserves to see if they would be willing to put up one of there huge Army tents for the Saturday, i suppose there has to be someone on this site in the know.

Would appreciate if someone would contact me nickybutler"at"gmail.com. Also does anyone here know the name/email address of the C/O of the army reserve in Waterford?

Sounds like a recruiting idea to me! Army tip along, have a tent for the surf dudes (kudos there) and have a recruiting stand next door- pics in the local paper which raises awareness.

Lt Col Bill Kilgore - he is one of the Cav Units- dont ask me which

Kilgore is mad into surfing as well

There is a procedure for community events to get a loan of tents etc, try ringing the DoD.
