The Steyr that the DF uses is the Austrian one with the addition of a simple device to that allows it be switched between single shots and automatic.

That is not an addition. It also features on the F88. As far as the aussies are concerned its standard.

I think it is a standard option rather than being standard.

The steyr can already switch between single and auto without it. The ALO only prevents it from firing auto by accident.
