im new member, i've been reading threads for the last year, finally got registered. just woundering did anyone else hear about a new beret the pdf was supposed to be getting?. just heard about it the end of last year , the person who told me might be taking the piss tho.

this one has been doing the rounds since the eighties, getting a boost with the introduction of the red beret for PA's. rumour had it that logs would be getting grey ones, and so on with the colour coding to follow the same set up as the brits. I even heard stories from those involved with clearing out the old group stores when clancy closed, that there was a stock of approx 2000 grey berets being movedCRIME SCENE INSTIGATOR

What, I heard that we were getting bandana's for non ceremonail taskes.
Red and white pocadots for the artillery
rainbow pattern for the cav
skull and cross bown's motif for the infantry
RDF versions will be turned upaide down, or inside out, depending prefernece.
Tropical duties will get a knotted handkerchief
etc etc etccourage, endurance, mateship and sacrifice

Heard that the RDF are to get a different colour of beret, as the danger wing are not impressed that both their and the RDF beret are similar. Then again I don't think there is any danger of the both being confused even if they had the same beret.

Peaked caps for SD no 1's is a definite proposition
and the sash for Senior NCO's has been tested
