Irish army standard Weapons

I know that the Standard Personal Weapon of the army is the Steyr AUG A2, but do the infantry carry a standard issue pistol?

I would advise you to consult the search function. Possibly making use of the search term "pistol". I just get this strange feeling that there are around 191 threads other than this one that contain the term.

"New Pistol for Defence Forces". Might just fit the bill. Maybe. Have a look and find out.
