    Usually they serve as riflemen unless they have a specific skill, e.g; mech, sigs, etc

    EDIT: Of course, it could be an officer, as an individual pointed out to me

    Apparantly it's the most widely circulated "drop it in the letterbox for free" newspaper in Limerick. I found it on the table when I was eating my breakfast.

    Yes. The Air Corps and NS when wearing DPM uniform, have a subdued version of their rank markings for that uniform. So he is probably in the NS alright.

    There was a photo in the Limerick Independent yesterday of 36 Infantry Group showing Willie O'Dea, a commandant and a third person in dpm and with a black beret who was wearing a green and black version of what appeared to be a Leading Seaman's rank slider...any ideas?
