Do the normal PDF recruit training, then apply to do the course.
If your not in bed by 4 o' clock it's time to go home!

Are you thinking of joining the PDF or RDF?

If PDF then you will need to do recruit training first and then can apply for a transfer or to be posted to a medical unit ie military medical facility (MMF) in the Curragh or Logs Base Hospital (LBH) in Dublin, or one of the medical companies in the Logistics Support Battalion (LSB) of each brigade.

Basic medics course in the PDF is 16 weeks long

            Ambulance skills is 2 weeks

(Bolt on) Paramedic civvy qualification is 10 weeks long.

I went into an Italian restaurant and ordered dessert and they gave me tiramisu and a blindfolded horse and I said No, I said mask a pony (mascarpone)

Everyone in the Naval service must complete a sea survival course if they intend going to sea(and you are not much use to the NS if you dont)

Catch-22 says they have a right to do anything we can't stop them from doing.

I thought only medical professionals could join the RAMC?
