Irish soldiers in YouTube charge - From News Section
Reding this article it looks like there being charged in regards to the CoS's letter:
One of the soldiers is expected to be charged with conduct which would prejudice the good order and discipline of the Defence Forces. He is also charged with uploading the video contrary to instructions.

S197 (b)(2) (a)
In that he was a thick ctun in control of a camera.
its a storm in a tea cup
let the boys own CO hear the charges
lets not feed any information to those lads from the press who
lurk in the shadows.
We in the DF are a family - lets keep the family secrets safe
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere***
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Yes - and Military Justice will slap the guilty bastadr
why feed the feeding frenzy and give rag writers
more ammunition to hit the DF with
loose lips sink ships
say something on here
see it exagerated tommorow by the red tops

You see goldie, you didn't post it on youtube.....kept it on the QT.....showed some reverence and decorum....
I'm thinking "throw the book at those gombeens!".
And I can't say I support hedgie's "we're a family hush! hush!" stance, I'm a beleiver in Justice Before All and if that attitude gets taken, then the public can't trust the DF. And that is far worse.
But I'm not qualified to comment, me being civvie.
If you have to do it, you always have to do it right. Either it makes a difference, or it’s good practice so that when it does make a difference, it gets done right.

What you mean kept it quiet?
Its on a publically accessable web site.
If you believe such things are wrong then so be it.
I am sure it the enquiry had found that the locals were scared or felt any ill towards the Irish because of this that the lads would be hung out to dry. As it is they are getting an army slap on the wrist that will probably mekr then PFEs.
If the DF was to chase every youtube and bebo poster out of the DF only us old lads would be left.
Due process at the appropriate level of the offence is being done, there is no need to blow it up into something it is not.
Damn right Bravo20. Agree fully.
It's the due process that is blowing this sh1t up into something it is not.
Bull.

Well, the OIC will ignore the (very very little) media interest, and he will pass judgement on what to do with the wrong-doers, and that will be the end of it. The only extra coverage will be for the story to be held as an example of what not to do on Foreign Deployments.
This story ends with these fellas getting their just-desserts. Case closed.
