  • New Arms Drill a-coming

    From COS Address to RACO 271107

    CEREMONIAL
    The DF continued to participate in a wide range of State ceremonial in 2007. To date this year
    some 4,000 personnel have been involved in 27 formal events. The high standards exhibited by all are a great credit to the organisation. A new proposed Rifle Drill for ceremonial occasions will be examined in 2008 as well as tri-service Guards of Honour foe State Occasions.

    "Are they trying to shoot down the other drone? "

    "No, they're trying to fly the tank"

    The "New arms drill!" rumour seems to roll out every 6-12 months.....first time I've seen something in print to back it up, though. Kinda ironic that he's telling officers about it though, since they'll never do it :P

        Just when you thought GoH's couldn't get anymore complicated....
        It is only by contemplation of the incompetent that we can appreciate the difficulties and accomplishments of the competent.

                I think he was on about the Naval Service, and the Ministerial Transport Service.

                  Air Corps. It's part of the Army. Like the Engineer Corps or the Cavalry Corps.

                      Then why is it still called a Corps?

                        Nostalgia? The consider themselves a seperate service just like the Naval Service, do they not?

                            I consider myself better looking than Brad Pitt

                            but I dont see Angliea Jolie making the dinner in the kitchen
                            Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
                            Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
                            The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere***
                            The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
                            The best lack all conviction, while the worst
                            Are full of passionate intensity.
