I took a trip up on Monday to have a gander. And I must say I was very disappointed. (This in noway reflect on the lads manning the stands by the way as they where spot on as usual).
It seemed to be a cluster-**** organisation wise, first of all the stands for PDF & RDF where completely separate to the Cadets stand. And the display of all the eye-catching "cool stuff" Mowags etc was out by the exit, after the punters had passed by the recruiting stands?!?
The idea of showing off a few Mowags is to catch the attention, this is defeated IF the punters have passed by the stands all ready and are about to leave the exhibition before they think "oooh those big tank things are cool I'd like to get involved with that".
The RDS was a far better display and venue. As it did not have the space restrictions that obviously affected Croker.
While I was there I noticed the 30 mil on a Mowag and got chattin to a Cav Lt. he was telling me that they are going to be mounting 105s on Mowags?!?!?!?!? Anyone know anything about this as it seems strange!
