Was looking at a recent Connect Magazine (March 2008). It has the Army ranks laid out which I thought would be a handy guide for Recruits. Uses SD uniforms but still is a good guide.
Was perusing it later in the evening and noticed a new unit in the Army - called the FCA. Now this connect was dated 2008 so they could not be referring to the organisation that existed before the Re-org of 2005 that created the Army Reserve. So what is this new unit? Has a similiar beret to that of the AR and the ARW. For a few minute I was thinking it could be the ARW but then I saw the ARW listed seperately. Then I saw an FCA officer had a Glengarry similiar to that of an AR Officer. Could it maybe be a Cav unit??? But No, Cav were also listed seperately. So what was this new unit? Then I slowly realised that the Army Reserve was not listed. Surely they could not be referring to the AR - 2 1/2 years after the Re-org???
