To All Members of the Irish Defence Forces (Permenant & Reserve).
Skydive Ireland would like to invite all PDF & RDF members to apply to sign up for the Irish Military Skydiving Day which is taking place this summer. The day is geared towards Irish Military members who wish to gain a Student Parachutist Qualification (SPQ) which is issued by Skydive Ireland and is an Irish Aviation Authorty approved certification.
The cost of the Skydiving Day is €345 EUR which includes the Solo Parachutist RAM Air Training Course and 3 Solo Skydives. This is a discounted price which is available only to Defense Forces members and you will be issued with a certificate reflecting your participation in this Military Skydiving Day. Normally a single Skydive would cost €320.
This will be the first year that Skydive Ireland is running this project and intends to mark it in our calendar as an annual event. So if you would like to be part of the first one then get in touch today.
The Military Skydiving Day will take place on Thursday 26th of June 2008 and weather permitting all the jumps will take place on the same day. Full details are available on our website: www.skydiveireland.ie
Skydive Ireland is the only Full Time Professional Skydiving Center in Ireland and is the only Skydiving Center that is offering discounted Skydiving Courses to Defence Forces members. The Solo Training Course will be Instructed by the current Safety & Training Advisor to the Military Parachute Club (PCM), Mr. Padraig Costello who is also the Chief Instructor at Skydive Ireland.
We operate two aircraft, an 8 seater Airvan and a 4 seater C-182 and we have the most modern student parachute equipment in the country. We are the only skydiving center in Ireland to use CYPRES-2 Automatic Activation Devices on all of our Student Equipment.
So get in touch soon to secure your slot as there is limited availability.
As an added incentive if you recruit 10 people or more you pay half price. Another incentive is that it is a well known fact that if you have civilian parachuting experience under your belt you stand a better chance of getting on the military parachuting courses.
It is to be confirmed that the Minister for Defense will be on site on the day.
Blue Skies,
Skydive Ireland
