    In spite of the fact that NCOs in "non-training" units do far more instructing than those in "training" units.

    Apologies I taught you meant when is overseas allowance paid, AFAIK all ranks up to Colonel (I think it is) receive MSA at home & overseas (not sure about 3* & 2*).

    MSA is equivaliant to "overtime" in Civvie Street.. We get it Home and O/S.
