  • Length of No1 trousers

Just wondering what is the correct length for No1 trousers

Are they to be worn just like normal trousers or are teye supposed to come down to a particular hole on the boot??

    all info greatly received

I have used the search functions - could find anything on this
I went into an Italian restaurant and ordered dessert and they gave me tiramisu and a blindfolded horse and I said No, I said mask a pony (mascarpone)

Supposed to just rest on the Third row of eyelets(from the bottom) on the boot. No more, no less.

    To be measured while standing.

Catch-22 says they have a right to do anything we can't stop them from doing.

For other ranks the trousers should be hemmed up to a level where, when standing, the crease at the front of the trousers "hangs" straight down - ie the bottom should be clear of the boot, not resting on it, making the crease a single straight line. Around the 3rd lace hole from the bottom is the usual length, but you're more likely to get away with having them too high than too low.

Officers wear their trousers differently, since they wear brown shoes.
