It's not a bad point by the frog. Why don't people want to go to the Brigade HQs in other brigades ? they're looking for people.
"Are they trying to shoot down the other drone? "

"No, they're trying to fly the tank"

The comment was directed at BTC and Brigade HQ in the west I believe. BTC has the people it requires in the West and brings in outsiders as required.
People go where they are posted however in the Western Brigade our Brigade HQ is in Renmore. People were put on paper to those appointments but not practicial to travel 80-120 kms to parade. We all joined locally but now can be on paper put into brigade appointments. Its not a question of walking across a square in a Dublin barracks from one unit to another.

Just felt it was an unfair comment to us in the West thats all

Not really a problem in the South.... BTC has 3 Integrated Officers in or attached.

so wtf do they do ? that's silly. go SWA and stop filling a vacancy that someone might actually do work in....they aren't empty jobs you know.

There is also more to the Eastern Brigade then Dublin. Monaghan Barracks - where an RDF post will continue to exist, is 130km from Dublin.
Or Tinahely Co.Wicklow (the roads aren't as good either) - 2 hours to Dublin or 1 hour to their Coy HQ

We didn't make the decision but we have to work around it.

Oldcastle is the other edge (of reality) to the great eastern empire. At events the 65th always pull out early leaving the Tinahely lads to clean up because someone once from Oldcastle was in their unit.
