  • Integration Training Term

Is there any integration directive for members only being permitted to serve for a two year period and not been given an option to serve a third year? (or do units have discretion with this)

    Welcome to the board BTW.

Draft Recruiting documents for Integration Mk III have been seen in the field. There is an option for refresher [?] for existing integrated personnel. The concept of how it will all work is not yet clear, everyone is waiting for smoke signals from DFHQ/D Res/DDFT
"Are they trying to shoot down the other drone? "

"No, they're trying to fly the tank"

According to breifing we got recently.

People do intergration for 1 year
commitment is to do grat requirement in unpaid hours and then 3 weeks corps training or 2 weeks plus 3 week ends.
The following year (or years, a little unclear) 1 week refresher training will be given by the PDF unit.

No, you only get to serve for 1 year. If you signed up in 2007 or 2008, you cannot undergo Integration training again, but there is some facility to do "other" training with PDF units - Something that is already meeting with major problems.

Then again, it is all in the air at the mo.

That figures, considering that we were told that
          all is rosy in TVMS.
All former Int pers WILL be going on a course in TVMS
All current applicants will be met with open arms
There is a concerted drive to move us all on (excuse the pun)

However this is all subject to change as the purse strings tighten........

It will also depend on if it is the PDF or RDF unit that runs all elements of integration.

Considering that the EOI was for people who have completed int, I would hazard a guess that only former int. pers would be considered. Maybe thats why they put in this "refresher" element.

Personally I think the problem is that it is all pilot schemes. Untill someone decides the way forward this will keep happening.

                    Because they can!!

They have decided..... in 1998, it only took 6 years to do the reorg and another 3 years to start the first "pilot" scheme.

I was considering going to the Integrated because of the set in stone training days and overall less time you would spend in DPM.

If only the Army could decide what the intergrated will do and get the programme running.

GO ON the advanced infantry skills course, cause lets be honest, thats all it was!

                          What do you mean?

Integrated training is in addition to the 4 unpaid overnights, 8 parade nights and ARPs.

I was refering to the initial setup where you were seperated from your original unit. I liked that idea.

Some PDF units seem very pro-integration, some don't! (as an othersider looking in)
