    [MOD: Thread Split]

There is a question tabled to the minister in the dail asking how much the FCA(sic) cost in wages in 2007.

Catch-22 says they have a right to do anything we can't stop them from doing.

The answer is so simple and obvious. Nothing
"Fellow-soldiers of the Irish Republican Army, I have just received a communication from Commandant Pearse calling on us to surrender and you will agree with me that this is the hardest task we have been called upon to perform during this eventful week, but we came into this fight for Irish Independence in obedience to the commands of our higher officers and now in obedience to their wishes we must surrender. I know you would, like myself, prefer to be with our comrades who have already fallen in the fight - we, too, should rather die in this glorious struggle than submit to the enemy." Volunteer Captain Patrick Holahan to 58 of his men at North Brunswick Street, the last group of the Four Courts Garrison to surrender, Sunday 30 April 1916.

On what level does that reply actually make sense in your head?

The FCA cost nothing, since it no longer exists. Do try to keep up

              Here we go.
The next step will be to save money by stopping the wages.
1 week camp and half grat.
Then no camp and no grat.
              Then no RDF.

When is the stand down parade?

                Stand down parades cost money

                Officers travel allowance etc
                Tea and sandwiches etc

Ok so intergrated is dead and some would like to keep it that way but I think it will be like many of other things and be revived from time to time.

                  366. Deputy Joe McHugh Information Zoom asked the Minister for Defence Information Zoom the cost to the State of the FCA in 2007; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6092/09]

Minister for Defence (Deputy Willie O’Dea): Information Zoom Subhead D of the Defence Vote includes payments for Reserve Defence Force (RDF) training, gratuities, allowances and also includes grants paid into unit funds. The outturn on the Subhead for 2007 was €8,839,000. As the RDF is an integral part of the Defence Forces a range of other costs are spread across a number of Subheads. These costs are being compiled and will be forwarded to the Deputy in the near future.

Ah but that was back in 2007.

When we had intergrated pers doing their 3 weeks plus paid week ends.

Also there was more than a few bods doing the 42 day max.

Since the paid week end has gone out and more than likely most will only get 1 week FTT odds are that the figyre will be much lower for 2009.
