  • Not my Job! I aint picking up no Litter (Moved from new 4x4 thread)

    Hi there
That third picture is an inadvertant comment on laziness and not-my-job in the DF. A wheel, an oil can and a cardboard box are allowed to lie on the parking area and nobody can be arsed to tidy them up or even carry them as far as the rubbish skip.Clearly, no CO has ever done an inspection of the area......regards

you should see the litter covering the loading area in the armoury!

None of those go in a rubbish skip

wheel -> scrap metal / rubber recycling

oil can -> hazardous waste container

        cardboard box -> recycling

I dont know why they just leave it there

its easier to gather it up - put the oil on the cardboard

set it alight and then set the tyre alight

I think that's a great idea for a day out. Bringing Moyross to the masses. I love it.

                Hi all,
Apart from HH's desire to relive his youth, I was thinking of my first Flight Sergeant's reaction if he'd seen stuff like that lying around the workplace

Its been a while but I believe the recycling/waste disposal area would be in the opposite corner of the barracks.

Its about a half mile walk...

                      Ah come on, Goldie,
If that's a reflection of how unwilling the locals are to clean up a part of their working area, then it doesn't bode well. What else are they neglecting? Surely there's a waste oil container and a bin for used oilcans in the workshop? I can't believe that the workshop doesn't have it's own bins, not to mind expecting them to use bins half a mile away. Our old hangars in the Don were scruffy but our Flights made damn sure we disposed of our waste properly and kept our working area clean and our tools secured.
                      Not good enough.
                      regards

This sounds like a job for the Army Reserve Ranger Wing............
To close with and kill the enemy in all weather conditions, night and day and over any terrain
