Poor old Lt ?? on Page 7. I too would be in a permanent sulk.

On a happier note, Col. Carter's retirement photo on Page 5 brightens the pages.
"Are they trying to shoot down the other drone? "

"No, they're trying to fly the tank"

        2 fine looking ladies

the fact they are the progeny of a Col just

        makes it kinkier

Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,

For those of us An Cosantoir free, can you post pictures?

I did have a free subscription when I left the Army as a pensioner

but they stopped sending it when my Pension receipt address

changed first to Germany, then Romania.

Why is it that colonels daughters are always hot, but you need to be at least a captain to get within a mile of their virtue.....

Catch-22 says they have a right to do anything we can't stop them from doing.

Got it in the letterbox yesterday.

Couldn't agree more, Trellheim, puts the comments about Lily Allen being "hot"
                      into perspective....

Mammy is a teacher Daddy is an Army Officer

                        how can it be neoptism

and the girls are just like every one else

their 3rd level education was free

but at least its something valuable to the community not arts or philosphy

not like some they didnt swan off to warmer climates and get bitter and twisted

I stand corrected. Did not see the article so was under the impression from the comments on the board that the two were also officers. Although not resident , u are so right as usual, I am not entitled to any benefits in the country of my birth although still pay tax on property which is more than many of the patriotic bankers , property developers etc who remained have done. I know ARMY PAY paye..
But back to nepotism , it would be interesting to compare the percentage of sons and daughters who apply for cadetships who are successful with the percentage of success of non officer, non army personnel who apply.. different thread perhaps ..
As regards bitter and twisted, well perhaps I just might see things in a different light , perhaps it might do u some good to do the same, maybe u will realize thaqt u are not the oracle of Deplhi or even the Brugha.

Mate I am not even the depth of knowledge in my own house

in the Brugha I am the depth of depravity

Your still entitled to a whole range of benefits befitting a citizen

as for the lads not paying taxes- thats a criminal offence- if you forward to me your evidence I will hand it into any Garda Station on your behalf- of you could hand it into any irish Enmbassy or COnsulate- with

the benefits comes responsibilities to report rooting tootin tax evaders.

I do however agree with you- too many young Sirs and Mams are the sons and daughters of old Sirs and Mams

Probably no bigger a percentage than pte's who follow in family footsteps to join the army to be honest. If one of their parents is an officer then it stands to reason they will know the interview process inside out and be better prepared.
