    Does the SA-80 have a rifle sling?

    All the pics and shots ive seen never shows one.

      they are the new high tech stealth slings

      designed to confuse the bad guys

      when the bad guy sees the weapon suspended in mid air and floating off the shoulder

      of the good guy- he (the bad guy) is mesmerised thinking how do they do that

      what voodoo is at work here- and then the good guy gets close enough to shoot

      him with the new high tech non stealth rounds
      Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
      Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
      The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere***
      The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
      The best lack all conviction, while the worst
      Are full of passionate intensity.

          There's also a new version of the SA-80 coming out: the SA-80A3 (David Blaine Special)
          It just levitates in front of you... so, no need for a sling...:wink:

            The SA80 sling (non-stealth version) works well on the Steyr too!

              (though tiffy's dont like it, for some reason)
              But there's no danger
              It's a professional career
              Though it could be arranged
              With just a word in Mr. Churchill's ear
              If you're out of luck you're out of work
              We could send you to johannesburg.

                What alot of them do now is just connect a short strap off there right shoulder of there body armour that attaches to the butt of the rifle and when they come into contact or need to take it off for doing certain things they just release a clip so there free to move the rifle around without it getting snagged or being a hindrance.

                  I have seen Italians doing the very same thing with the Steyr

                  they had a clamp like a carabiner on their body armour - right shoulder side

                  then they had a short elasticated sling connected to it and the steyr

                  it made it very handy searching cars and people

                    Tiffy's? Who's that when they're at home?

                    I used my SA80 for the annual camp just gone, it makes a world of difference compared to the bog-standard sling that comes on the Steyr.

                      He means the Armours..They don't like it because it apparently strains the Sling swivels.

                          Apparently not..It has something to do with the metal on the sling..Don't shoot the messenger ..That's what we're told.

                              No, to be more correct he means the Artificers, who are sometimes described by the great unwashed as Armorers.
