Pics of Irish Soldiers in Afghanistan
I knew a simple soldier boy.....
Who grinned at life in empty joy,
Slept soundly through the lonesome dark,
And whistled early with the lark.
In winter trenches, cowed and glum,
With crumps and lice and lack of rum,
He put a bullet through his brain.
And no one spoke of him again.
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when soldier lads march by,
Sneak home and pray you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.Tags: None

Why do you want it Buck.Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere***
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Hey guys, I'm a bit off topic here... but I just noticed: what are the differences in beret colours ? Some wear a green one, some a black one.
Is it similar to us:
Green: Army
Maroon: Para
Red: Military Police
Black: Armour
Tan: SOF"On the plains of hesitation, bleach the bones of countless millions, who on the very dawn of victory, laid down to rest, and in resting died.
Never give up!!"
