Does anyone have a copy of the current PDF Pay rates

I had a adobe version but I cant find it

if you could include the various allowances and pension information I would

promise not to mock the poster for 1 solid week.

If the rates contain the information I think it does

I will win my Uniform ironed until January.

    Many thanks.

Defence Forces personnel lead a "Life less Ordinary". All aspects of military life are varied and for each member of the Force each day may bring a new challenge.

Doesn't have info on pensions or other allowances though, and to save you searching, said info is not on the PDFORRA site either...but I think THIS is what you are looking for

that can't be right - says a Sergeant in the Irish DF only gets up to €708.54 per week?

i thought the Irish DF were supposed to be alot better paid than us?!

Military service is paid on completetion of set periods of time and is incremental. Not sure waht the rates are but its not huge.

It's a similar concept to the "X factor" you lot get

well there were 4 rates of pay listed for Sgt and i quoted the highest one from the latest PDFORRA list.

so you saying a Sgt gets €121.51 extra a week on top of his €708.54 ('Point 4' grade) just for being in the Army?

if that's the case then fair play (although i don't understand it!) - i wish i got 'extra' money on top of my army pay just for being in 'military service'!

that's decent pay then if you take that into account and deffo more than we get, plus - we only get about an extra £10 to £15 per day for being deployed and we never ever get any form of UN pay so i guess you guys do quite well and can get the beers in

A just promoted sergeant could get the following per week:
                          Basic Pay - € 659.46
                          Mil Service Allowance (MSA) - € 121.51

Thats a weekly minimum gross wages of € 780.97, not including any other allowances they may be entitled to. Thats UK£ 714.49.

If they are on an armed operation overseas, they will get € 86.08 per day on top of this!

According to the British Army website a British Army sergeant on the lower rate band gets UK£ 565.84, thats € 618.53.

It is to improve the rate of pay and I think take account of being on call 24/7/365 etc. It is paid up to the rank of Colonel I think.

There are 3 rates for enlisted personnel:
Privates with under 3 years service
Privates with over 3 years service & junior NCOs
                          SNCOs
