Ah sure, they're only reservists. Can't burden them with too much or we'll lose them altogether. I bloody hate this organisation more and more.

I was there myself, had great craic! Although like Zulu, I had a few raised eyebrows on occassions.
Not sure if I met any IMOers as I didn't really get to mingle much with other Plns or Coys.

From my POV, I was happy enough with our Pln attacks! Our NCO's were on the ball, and the standard of certain NCO's I'd put on a near par with their Reg BA counterparts.

Is there a grading/scoring system with the assessments? If so, are units ranked on their scores? Or is it just as simple as pass/fail?

For the Eastern coy after the first pln attack there was a informal debrief chat with 1 of the assessors with all the pln sergeants.

After the second the assessors had a brief debrief with the pln commander and pln sgt individually.

I took it on board, learnt things and will do my best not to make the same mistakes again.

                    You met me!

Course we are good but thats not to say all units are close to our standards!!!

                    Speaking of standards of NCO's....
A few of our lads were lent to another unit that were short bodies. To hear the stories that came back its not surprising that a unit with 4 Inf Coys a SP Coy and HQ Coy can't raise 21 Privates for a weekend.

I don't want to publicly air negative stories about your unit Dev.

He's not in that unit anymore....

But yes, I agree, no airing of the dirty linen in public, we a bad enough press in
                          certain quarters as it is....

It's not Docman it's Dev I presume. And I was there too and if you want to make comments like that about us , fine put up the detail and if it's merited I'll stand there and put our hands up.

Making comments like that is already airing negative stories.
