        The Grat is supposed to be paid in December, however that is dependent on your unit submitting the appropriate documentation in time.

            "He is an enemy officer taken in battle and entitled to fair treatment."
            "No, sir. He's a sergeant, and they don't deserve no respect at all, sir. I should know. They're cunning and artful, if they're any good. I wouldn't mind if he was an officer, sir. But sergeants are clever."

              It is nothing to do with the cadre, it is the company commander who is responsible!

                Yes, but in the real world we all know the cadre run the unit

                  In units with weak officers and senior NCOs, maybe.

                      Yep! I thought it was supposed to be tax free? I got five hundred and thirty something even though i did three weeks full time training this year. Was expecting 900 blips without brian lenihan getting his hands on it.

                        Do the Civil Defence get a Grat
                        Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
                        Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
                        The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere***
                        The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
                        The best lack all conviction, while the worst
                        Are full of passionate intensity.

                            RDF Gratuity is indeed tax free.

                            Grat rates can be found at

                            "No, they're trying to fly the tank"
