Well lads and lassies (If theres any women on imo?)) I recenty picked up a set of wetgear from a friend its brand new but the wrong size the Trousers are a Small id be lookin for a Medium or Large if anyone can help?

If you're in the RDF then it's the luck of the draw. 9 times out of 10 you're gonna get medium or large.
size small is a rarity for any item of clothing in the reserve.
I've only ever even seen small size wet gear twice after 3 years of being in the RDF.
Which is annoying because i'd be a small or extra small in some cases

The lads in my unit seem to have their own sizes!!! Most of them have picked up the Dpm Wetgear from various sources Iv never seen the RDF actually issue the dpm thought it was just the old og?? Im in the RDF so doubt our Q will switch em for me!!Train Hard Fight Easy!!!!Comment

Best to contact anyone else who got it issued and do a swap; DPM waterproofs usually come from central stores so you're more than likely stuck with the ones issued to the unit."Attack your attic with a Steyr....as seen on the Late Late Show..."Comment

DPM wetgear has been on issue in the reserves for a few years now, but not personal issue, only for exercises.Originally posted by Celtic-Warrior View Post
It should be issued alongside your webbing, bergen, basha and other kit when your gonna do a 24hrs or any other large exercise, and handed back afterward.
They are taken from a pool, the same as the webbing, bergen and helmets. So don't expect a set in your size. Most are medium and large.Last edited by spaceghetti; 1 April 2010, 20:34.Comment

Why wasn't the decision made to personally issue wetgear to the RDF? Is it just a money issue? Having it issued on an ad hoc basis is just ridiculous and counter productive IMO.Comment

If it was issued then why not just go back to stores and ask for a smaller size, If it wasn't issued then you shouldn't be really advertising the fact you picked a set up from a friend! Also if memory serves me correct, isn't it an offence under military law to be swapping gear with another person?

So the best bet would be to have a discreet chat with the Cq and see if he can swap them for me? Are they issued as a suit or as seperate smock and trousers similar to a reg uniform?
