As mentioned in the re org thread, the EBTC is looking for good instructors / ncos, and 3* privates.

Positions available are as follows:

2 x C.S.
1 x C.Q.M.S.
4 x Sgt.
7 x Cpl.
6 x Pte.

Application for interview with BTC should be made through your C.O. to Brigade HQ.

Training will be given by PDF BTC.

Two to three year commitment expected.

What would being in the BTC involve, training obviously but what else? Sounds very intresting.

Training from PDF instructors ie up to date information.
Qualified to operate Indoor Range: independent dont have to seek PDF assistance.
Become qualified instructor on TESS.
Qualify for instructors allowance.

In answer to several pm queries, I write to advise that applications for appointments are to be made through YOUR C.O. thats YOUR C.O.

YOUR C.O. will then forward your application to the ops officer in Brigade H.Q.

What's wrong with the existing BTC? I thought the purpose was integration not further fragmentation.

It is integration, allowing reservists to serve in the BTCs

The original post seems to suggest an RDF BTC separate from the existing one.

I think the RDF BTC will be part of the RDF Brigade HQ.

Letter from Bde HQ says the Closing date for applications for Jnr Officers and NCOs has been extended to 17 Nov, with interviews taking place in the last week in Nov.
I believe there are still quite a number of Cpl and Pte vacancies.

The time commitment required for BTC will be way above (probably double at a minimum ) what most people currently put in. There is no other way it can be.

If you can't make that commitment then you'll be more use in your own unit.
