Help Request with ‘How We Remember’ exhibition
At the end of February 2011, a very exciting exhibition on the role of the Irish Army during the Troubles and in Peace Keeping will open in the Donegal County Museum, High Rd, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. This exhibition will feature artefacts, archives and oral histories telling the story of the 28th Infantry Batallion and the Reserve Defence Forces (FCA) and will be accompanied by a series of educational events.
Donegal County Museum is currently seeking to borrow photographs, uniforms and other materials relating to the 28th Infantry Battalion and the Reserve Defence Forces (FCA) for the exhibition. We are particularly interested in items associated with their duties on the Border during the Troubles as well as stories relating to this period.
The exhibition forms part of a programme of events led by Donegal County Council Cultural Services working with The Irish Army. This project is supported by PEACE III Programme managed for the Special EU Programmes Body by Donegal County Council.
