Is USAC still required considering a lot of cadets now have degrees?!
'Tis a fair question
We will probably see the situation in the not too distant future where prospective
Cadets will have to have a degree, thus saving DoD a pile of money,
and consigning USAC to history...
"Well, stone me! We've had cocaine, bribery and Arsenal scoring two goals at home. But just when you thought there were truly no surprises left in football, Vinnie Jones turns out to be an international player!" (Jimmy Greaves)!"
Lets not forget U.S.A.C. being seen by the powers that be as being a convenient place to store the "red-a r s e newbies" before letting them loose in units.
USAC - University Students Army Complement or so I was told 30+ years ago by an officer at UCG.

"Judean People's Front" or "People's Front of Judea"
I agree that even today a developer wouldn't turn his nose up at it. It would be a fine site for apartments as it's so close to the city and most of the building in the boom in Galway was miles outside and on the other side of the city. Also, because of the building height (three stories) and existing traffic in an out of it local residents would find it difficult to object?
