They then hold regular meetings with the GOCs, Military Forum, DOD and I think Director in order to negotiate to try and get what they are looking for.
You will get an idea on this page: http://www.rdfra.ie/Misc/speeches.shtml

Problems are also that the elections are very flawed. If RDFRA were to follow their constitution to the letter, it would probably be a very good organisation but sub-unit representatives are usually made up of the old guy who has held the position for years and holds onto it by either ensuring no one knows he is the rep or makes sure no elections or meetings are held. And not enough people are usually bothered enough to worry about elections or get involved.
If people do make an effort to get elected, they end up at conferences and meetings full of people who are worse than the guy they replaced.
And finally, there is the horrible side of RDFRA where people who do put in huge amounts of time and effort soon realise that they are achieving very little and are met with indifference from both the Army and the rest of RDFRA.
You begin to wonder if those guys who do nothing are the clever ones in the end.Last edited by Docman; 23 February 2011, 14:07.

The key thing is that both PDFORRA and RACO have access to a C&A scheme, where if the parties can't come to an agreement on something then it is heard by an independent third party. Due to the fact that RDFRA would get most of what they look for if (I mean important stuff like individual wet gear) it was heard by a third party, the DOD will not give RDFRA access to the C&A scheme.
That is the key problem!

RACO as a name is wrong, because it doesn't represent me for example; PDFRACO would be a correct name.
As the it stands currently there would be no benefit to merging as there is different motivations driving the organizations"Are they trying to shoot down the other drone? "
"No, they're trying to fly the tank"
