On the command, pick up stamps....wait for it!....Stampai! Suas!.....if you cannot open the packet, an adult will be provided to open same.....take one stamp in your left hand...your Army left! (muppet!...said under breath...A7 is listening)....Oscaliotar na gobanna!...... stick out your tongue...on receipt of the command, you will lick the back, the sticky part, of the stamp once and you will then apply the licked stamp to an envelope....you haven't got an envelope? Does your mother know that you are out.....2nd and 5th, just drool on your stamps...

Can pick them up on the GPO in the stamp shop (or "Philatelic" shop, if you will) - prestige booklet includes four sets of stamps and a bi-lingual entry on each of the three services, as well as overseas deployments.

We'd ask the Air Corps to provide some lads to lick stamps but they all went home at half eleven.

Aren't modern stamps sticky? A shame, it must have put quite a few people out of the stamp licking job.
