      Gwan de lads! :D
Over the centuries, mankind has tried many ways of combating the forces of evil...prayer, fasting, good works and so on. Up until Doom, no one seemed to have thought about the double-barrel shotgun. Eat leaden death, demon...

        Howd B Coy do Bailer??
"He is an enemy officer taken in battle and entitled to fair treatment."
"No, sir. He's a sergeant, and they don't deserve no respect at all, sir. I should know. They're cunning and artful, if they're any good. I wouldn't mind if he was an officer, sir. But sergeants are clever."

A coy were first winning the new trophy plaque and also some points for the combinned weapons competion to be held at the 7 Bn shooting competion. Ie the Duke shield competion
The individuals got medals presented by the CO. They were almost 10 mins faster than other team. Well done lads.

E coy were second and got medals from the CO.

          B coy were third.

C coy organised a very good event which hopefully will be repeated every year.

There was also an individual competion and a competion for the P/O course but I am not going to put up individual names here.

there's nothing like a good run around the park to get you going...last time I was out there the rain was going sideways and the wind picked up just as we were told to set off....and nothing like having to both start and finish your lap on top of the popes cross...muddy ground too so yet another leg breaking hurdle to leg it across...and I swear those Deer were out to get me....

It wouldn't be the 7 Inf Bn who are running the EBFCA Orienteering this year would it?

Lucky none of them were not accosted by a frisky Phoenix Park Stagg...

Catch-22 says they have a right to do anything we can't stop them from doing.

The Park is one of the Best Orienteering courses laid out by 3ROC. Also Orienteering is about navigating with speed over ANY terrain.

                        What females from Cork???

They held an all army on the Curragh plains some years ago. No more challenging than the Phoenix park i imagine. The problem with courses like this is that runners have the advantage over navigators.

Some orienteering courses are about navigation and some, like phoenix park, are about speed, the brigade competition was there last year and the times showed that it is as much of a challenge
