Bit smug there are'nt we Docman.Theres a hell of a lot of people in AD who have never even gotten 1 class on the L70s so we cant all be up to your superior level of knowledge on anti-aircraft gunnery.Incidentally does it stand for Multiple Report Creation System by any chance?Prob not, but then again I've never been told anything on the L70s.Ill live in hope though!

So in the RoI, only the GARDA, The DF Military Police and the Airport Police have offcial "policing" powers?

    Where does that leave Customs.....?

Is there a Harbour Police force?
(Also exactly what is the status of the Airport Police with the Garda, are they just a private firm or a subordinate agency?)
    Very confusing.........

The PAs don't have (as far as I know) a K-9 section/unit, for specialist support they can & do call on the Gardai, eg Garda Technical Unit & Garda Dog Unit, if required

The new L70's are a death trap if facing a semi-modern opponent. Other than that, they are only some good against low flying aircraft. The range quoted to me for the Flycatcher radar is so short that you are in range for them before you know they are even there.

What is the range (assuming it is outside OSA jurisdiction) and KF properties of the Flycatcher against a 0.1mRCS (and if you don't know what that means, you shouldn't be using the L70 & flycatcher and you shouldn't be in AD)?

Ground defence? I assume you mean the AA weapons? Decorative purposes mostly,at bargain bin prices. They can take out piston engined bombers flying at low level,perhaps..

    Military Police

    Hello lads,I have two questions.
    1. Does the Irish army have any K9 unit?
I would think maybe it would have a use in the explosive units.

    2. My second question is ground defence.
Does it have the capabilty of taking down modern bombers?

Thank you,and no offence to any member of that regiment.
Working...
