This topic has been discussed to death. As Strummer is getting more and more stressed with the rehashing of the wearing of the green I hereby pronounce the thread CLOSED.

for example at a military function last weekend, where a person wearing civilian dress was wearing the fleece over his clothes standing around talking to high ranking officers.

or for example in Game Stop, Galway last friday a crusty wearing a brand new smock with a peace pin on the rank slide.

Can you for example post pictures of yourself in your uniform in newspapers or for that matter can you allow pictures to be taken of yourself. I know this activity happens but is it legal? I was told it was illegal to use it in a civilian manner i.e. if you went hiking on your own you could not wear army supplied equipment. Is this tue??
If the pictures are taken whilst you are on duty and they do not disclose any security or installation details they may with permission be used by the press.(CYA)
You may wear uniform going to and returning and whilst on training.

Don't wear your uniform unless engaged in (or traveling from/to) training, operations or a sanctioned event.

    End of story.
