Not since they changed the epaulettes from red to green.

Catch-22 says they have a right to do anything we can't stop them from doing.

Like everything else. Found it and thats all anybody needs to know.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways, Champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming........................
WOO HOO - What a Ride!" :tri:

Been issued with worn kit. That count? Choice of taking someone elses or doing without.

Am the only person who worked to avoid being issued number 1's?
Take these men and women for your example.
Like them, remember that posterity can only
be for the free; that freedom is the sure
possession of those who have the
          courage to defend it.
          ***************
Liberty is being free from the things we don't like in order to be slaves of the things we do like.
          ***************
If you're not ready to die for it, put the word freedom out of your vocabulary.

I personally think its a waste of money to issue the SD no.1

The money SHOULD (but it wouldn't) be redirected into providing more useful equipment.

I only used my No1's once last year for the annual mass?

What is the average useage of this item?
I went into an Italian restaurant and ordered dessert and they gave me tiramisu and a blindfolded horse and I said No, I said mask a pony (mascarpone)

A year and a half on from intitially being measured I'm still waiting...

For some reason my unit cannot seem to get them. I say this cos all the males (5) from my unit on the PNCO course this year have thus far not been issued with them yet somehow all other units on the course seem to have been able to get them issued (apart from one or two individuals). If I did have them there would ceratinly be more than one occasion in the year that I would wear them.

Was issued mine and had it tailored to fit me really classy.
All ill say is thank god for the PP barry comp its the only time ive ever heard a Q utter the words
"Now lads don't be short of anything lets us knowe if ye need anything"
The entire team was then struck dumb in shock and failed to take advantage of the offer.

My q has stopped asking us "what do you need" before we get sent on courses, because the usual reply is "what have you got?"

For the amount of money spent on them we would be far better off getting an extra issue of DPM gear.they are a total waste of time as the amount of ceremonila done does not warrant the expendidture.
