  • PP Barry Post Mortem (split from Medical trophy thread)

Well given the behaviour and absolute incompetence of the reserve medical corps in the southern brigade during the PP barry cup this week end..and lack of participation..there is either grounds for disbandment of the medical corps resereve or ground for legalised abortion..you can choose.

This morning my unit was hounded by some **** wit with a prorac belt and cheap sunglasses...which was more tacky can't remeber...but in direct contrrdiction to A7 ..i told him to **** off as he was as welcome as a fart in a space suit, why are these trials inflicted on me?

While out of that point while i was showing a guy an alternative to life using the word fat fut bollocks and useless,yesterday..I got a withering stare from a commandant ..he was told to look to his front and then decided to decalre his rank...his comment was,,Sergeant...why is your cap not on your head,answer..cos I cant fit my head in my pocket sir.
and now falling plates..look at he differences in competition rules and then make your point LT Col ****wit what ever your mane is....and the show me the trophies...muppets.

[Mod edit - No names please] (Sgt 22 Bn) well done on square...took a bit long but sure shit yeah wone it..[Mod edit - same] (Sgt 3 CIS) et co forget the collins cup.....you are a poor sergeant, what the **** a re the officers going to do.
Gi I joephine..get ready..and for the rest of the units well done lads you came out you tried//its not about winning its about turning...my drill team was disqualified but perforned..we lost through injury..well done lads you made the effort all though the ruling was above you.

well done to all involved..I don't normally compete..but am glad the spirit of the comp is still alive.

This is where I am supposed to say that i will be back next year on improved grade....not in this lfetime.

thorpe and goldie thans for the support and sarcasm...always makes it worthwile..

Catch-22 says they have a right to do anything we can't stop them from doing.

"This doesn't excuse the 3AD for not bothering to field a team at all"

Just to say we had pleanty of nco's and gunners to put a team together, We just couldn't get an officer willing to give their weekend.

It was a reaction to all the 'para wings' around the place.
.A few of these attached these to our uniforms as a symbol that we can wear unofficail insignia on our uniform as well and get away with it...it was the most apt item to hand

..As one of the team had an abundant supply of these due to the nature of his employmnet...just a private joke really..

Then there was the frying pan in a box answerin reaction to the obscurity of the military symbols in the table quiz...some were really off the wall...who ever compiled the table quiz really went out of their way to find some of the most unusual questions I've ever seen at a table quiz!

Given the very limited imput of officers in the partaking in the competition...thats a very thin excuse!

no it's not, you can't partake unless there is an officer on the team, even if they don't do very much.

And how did the "paras" react? Great idea :-)

it was good to see the 23rd doing so well this year, they've been missing out on the silverware. for a while. i was keeping an eye on the 14th score as i know they were out to proove a point after last year. all of a sudden the boys and girls for cork were within a point of the 22nd going into the dress and drill.
if there was a next year, im sure the 15th would buy a singar and study it inside out. i think the sig part of the corp test had every one a bit worried. i hadn't seen one since the PSO course this summer, they're all being use by the PDF for training for Liberia.

there were two units that couldnt put a team together on there own, so there 3CIS and the 11S&T (i could be wrong about that), joint up and did quite well. Officers dont shoot or take part in the dress and drill, they do every thing else and are often the strong link in a team, (im not an officer)

True you can't partake......but if there was enough interest amongst the members ...an officer could be obliged to lead a team...

I know that we had no interest in providing a team..very obvious by our results but because we were asked not to let the unit down we made an effort.....

                              attitude makes a difference.

In reply to the Para's reaction..I think it really went unnoticed as there is very little interaction between units on the day!
