Heavy Equipment for St. Patricks Day

Hi all,

Im just checking the feasibility of organising a visit to my unit of some armour, trucks and a mowag or two for St. Patricks Day.

Has anyone here seen Mowags, Scorpions, AMLs, etc in any Paddy's Day parade before and if so, Id be really grateful to see some photos so I can prove to the elder pipped ones that it has happened in other areas around the country in previous years.

as far as i can remember the army, rdf and nsr where in Cork this year. The Army had mowags but Im not sure about the others

Carlow town have had scorpions in a couple of parades in the last few years. Tullow in Co. Carlow had a scorpion in 2004. Will dig up some photos for you.

when did that happen , must ve been asleep at the time . mind you the only valid reason for a scorpion to be in tullow would be to flatten the place

Around 3 (??) years ago, Bray was to have a extensive military element with MOWAGs, 105s, etc etc. It was to be part of a PDF recruitment push. But the Chamber of Commerce decided to cancel the parade for the last few years due to funding problems.
