154's carry over, nco courses don't and that's for a reason, my first month in pdf recruit training was harder than my entire rdf nco course...

Will an Army Tailor be adding these patches, or will it be at the reservists expense?

I would say non velcro going by the amount issued per reservist.Might be an idea to go that route though as it prolongs the life of your badges.

Were I still in Ireland and still in, I for one would have no problem wearing the flash. I was proud to volunteer my service in whatever capacity the state saw fit, I only wished they would have used me more and given me the chance to better my skills. I had no urge to be mistaken for PDF unless it was for doing my job well enough that nobody thought "of course, RDF".
