If a PDF DE officer retires, and then goes to join the RDF, do they keep their rank? Or are officers in general not allowed do this? Or can DE (ie specialised) officers only join RDF units of the same Corps that they retired from?

Not sure about DEs but line PDF officers are assigned to the First Line Reserve (FLR) after there PDF service has finished. If they want to join the Army / NS Reserve and keep their rank they have to transfer. -
I thought the first line reserve was gone and now there is only the army reserve i.e. RDFComment
