Topical question...on the census form, question 25 relateed to voluntary activites. The options were:

In the past 4 weeks have you done any of the following activities without pay?
      1. Helping or voluntary work with a social or charitable organisation
      2. Helping or voluntary work with a religious group or church
      3. Helping or voluntary work with a political or cultural organisation
      4. Any other voluntary activity
      5. No voluntary activity

What did RDF members put for that question?
"Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here...this is the War Room!"

        I said 4.
Was going to say 3 but decided not to.
It is only by contemplation of the incompetent that we can appreciate the difficulties and accomplishments of the competent.

          yeah 4
its in your contract that you can't be a member of any political party, though that easter parade was more about stopping SF being able to claim that they are the only people celebrating the rising

The school of artillery told us it couldn't be done...
          They were wrong.

Kindly check your facts. I'll give you a hint, look at the oath on enlistment for RDF, compare with the oath on enlistment for PDF.

He shouldn't have if you were enlisting in the RDF. Are you sure he didn't say secret society?

I'm sure he said political party too
I think it was my old CO who swore me in and he was a PDF officer so he may have just said it automatically
It doesn't matter anyway i am not involved in politics so i dont care
