Trust me if it was effecting you you would know what im talking about. This year you are only allowed do 6 weeks camp and that is your limit. At the minute some people have done 3-4 weeks camp and will get shafted during the summer because they will not be allowed do all of the camps available to them.

Why punish the people who keep putting in the effort?

I have heard of some people turning down payment for camps they have already done so they will be able to go on camp during the summer.

You can request a review of your status so that you can go on further training past the man day limit. This is done on an idividual case by case basis and if accepted you get paid as normal

Make sure you get it in writing. As I'm still waiting for two weeks that I did in August.

But yet next xmas when the pdf need a break or are short staffed there will be no mention of mandays when they are calling us in to do BK duties.

Or some friday when one unit who has promised to put a platoon on the ground in support of a pdf exercise pulls out at the last minute and another unit puts 28 bodies on the ground the following monday.
If these people are committed why are they getting punished?

They need to draw the line somewhere and 6 weeks/42 days is a nice round number.
