to be fair, there isn't much you can do when 1500 tonne of pine falls off your deck...

In soviet times, he would be put in command of a trawler in the arctic.

An excellent show. Interesting how their Immigration and customs service are now integrated....

Yes, this new fangled Border Agency! I'm not a lover of it of to be honest, and I'm sure many in HMCE didn't like the amalgamation too.

Good show last night. Interesting to see even RAF seakings do not have endless fuel supplies. Particularly liked the Deep Rummage people at work in the juice tanker.

Another excellent show last night, again demonstrating that we still need the RAF to do the long range work, with the assistance of the MCA search aircraft doing top cover. Good to see Castletownbere and Shannon get a good look in, but wondered why cas with appendix went to shannon and not Cork? I don't think a trip by road to Ennis or Limerick would do the appendix any favours.

Interesting also to see how the RN do fisheries protection. The PV's skipper seems to have the last word. Is it the same here?

A similar type programme covering irish seas will air on RTE around mid September I believe and run for about six weeks.

Ye, the long ranger was a Falmouth CG tasking. Possibly couldn't use cork due weather. An ambulance transfer from cork is also required I believe. Don't know what they use as top cover, I believe they have Islanders for pollution patrol, hardly these I would think , more likely the Cessna 404 Titan.

Found this on the web for the MCA.
