    She's been moored in Southampton for over 5 months now. However the vessel was detained and barred from leaving the UK this week by the Environment Agency over suspicions she was heading abroad to be dismantled illegally.

      liquefied natural gas tanker. I think the issue is the amount of asbestos on the ship.

          The tanks are known as Moss Spheres and the ship is one of two general types of LNG, the other(which does not have the spheres/pyramids on deck) being the Membrane type. An interesting feature of these vessels is they use the boil off from the cargo(which must be carried in a refrigerated state at -163 degrees C) as a means of propulsion.


          Catch-22 says they have a right to do anything we can't stop them from doing.

            She is now down on the movements list on route to Portland this week.

            I wonder if she will be further impounded down there.
