I took this photo of HMS Albion last week departing Southampton.
The LPD departed after loading munitions. Im not sure if you can see on the photo, but a crewmember was manning a machine gun by the Goalkeeper weapons system. I didn't realise the Solent was that dangerous!
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere***
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Looks to me like two MG stations that are manned. Where ever it may be the ship is a target to small craft laden with an IED.
New York wasn't routinely patrolled with Gunships before 2001 either
"The Question is not: how far you will take this? The Question is do you possess the constitution to go as far as is needed?"
I zoomed in a spotted another 3. One on the other side of the Goalkeeper, one right under Albions crest on the small funnel nearest the bridge. And one on that lower platform by the stern.
