'Haulbowline Island' Military, Community & Industrial Life
The official opening of the Cork Harbour Islands Project (CHIP) Exhibition 'Haulbowline Island' - Military, Community , & Industrial Life' will be held on Saturday 12th September, 2009 at 2pm in Cobh Library.
The Exhibition will be opened by Cmdr. Eugene Ryan, Irish Naval Service. We would like to invite all Ex-islanders, Naval Personnel, Ex-workers Irlsh Steel and particularly those who supplied photos, to the opening and also all those interested in this unique harbour island.We are still gathering in photos on any aspect of life on Haulbowline - everything is of interest to us as we try and preserve the history of the island.
